The mission of ASCEND is to make ending cancer a nationalpriority by the 2008 election. We unite all types of cancer to create one voice to make a difference. ASCEND is an advocacy organization with a goal of educating the public about prevention, early detection and healthy lifestyles choices. In addition, we are urging our public officials to do three things: 1) Place more focus on prevention, 2) Eliminate known carcinogens from our environment, drinking water and food supply, and 3) Increase the amount of money that will towards finding a cure.
